Mangaluru: The School of Commerce, Finance and Accountancy at St Aloysius (Deemed to be University), in collaboration with ISDC and BIL, successfully organised Professional Day 2026 along with the valedictory of Eccelenza on March 26 at L. F. Rasquinha Hall, LCRI Block.
The event celebrated professionalism, mentorship, and academic excellence, marking a significant milestone of the institution achieving over 110 ACCA Affiliates within a short span of five years from 2021 to 2026.
Programme begins with formal inauguration
The programme commenced with a warm welcome to dignitaries and participants, followed by a prayer that set a meaningful tone for the event. The dignitaries were then escorted to the stage, marking the formal inauguration.
The chief guest for the occasion was Mr Anantha Lakshamana Rao, Associate Director at KPMG, while Rev. Dr Praveen Martis SJ, Vice Chancellor of the university, presided over the function.

In his presidential address, Rev. Dr Praveen Martis SJ emphasised the importance of holistic education, discipline, and striving for excellence. He congratulated the ACCA affiliates and students who successfully cleared their ACCA papers, along with their parents and teachers.
He highlighted key values such as competence, commitment, compassion, conscience, collaboration, and creativity as essential qualities for professional success and personal development.

The interactive session by chief guest Mr Anantha Lakshamana Rao was one of the highlights of the programme. He shared practical insights into the professional world and guided students on career planning.
