Mangaluru: St Aloysius (Deemed to be University), Mangaluru, will host Aloysian Fest 2026, a national-level festival for Pre-University students, on Saturday, August 8, at 9 am at the L.F. Rasquinha Hall, LCRI Block.
Organised under the theme “Nurturing Talent, Celebrating Excellence,” the one-day fest aims to provide a platform for students from pre-university colleges across India to showcase their academic, technical, creative, and cultural talents.
National-level competitions across two categories
Aloysian Fest 2026 will feature two major categories comprising 30 events.
The Festival of Fests will include 23 academic, technology, and creative competitions. Open events include General Quiz, Debate, Mock Press, Product Launch, Fashion Show, Sports Quiz, Reels Making, Photo and Videography, and Cooking Without Fire.
Commerce students can participate in Management Roadies, Business Manager, Business Quiz, Shark Tank, Best Management Team, Marketing, and Corporate Walk.
Science events include Science Rangoli, Science Standpoint, Science Escape Room, Synapse (Science Quiz), and Science Exhibition, while Commerce and Science students can compete in IT Manager, Coding, and Gaming competitions.
The Cultural Fest will feature seven events, including Bharatanatyam, Folk Song (Solo), Mehendi, Trashion, Wealth Out of Waste, Theme-Based Performance, and Science Exhibition.
National Award-winning child artist to attend inauguration
The inaugural ceremony will be graced by Mr. Sharan Chilimbi, content creator, as the Chief Guest, while Mr. Athish S. Shetty, recipient of the National Award for Best Child Artist, will attend as the Guest of Honour.
The programme will be presided over by Rev. Dr. Praveen Martis SJ, Vice-Chancellor of St Aloysius (Deemed to be University).
Valedictory programme
The valedictory function will be held at 3.30 pm on the same day at the L.F. Rasquinha Hall.
Mr. Dion Monteiro, Director of Rohan Corporation, will be the Chief Guest, while Rev. Dr. Praveen Martis SJ will preside over the programme.
Prizes and mementoes will be presented to winners of individual competitions. The institution with the highest overall points will receive the Overall Championship Trophy, while the second-best performing institution will be awarded the Runner-Up Trophy.
