Mangaluru: The taekwondo teams of St Joseph Engineering College (SJEC) delivered an impressive performance at the VTU State Level Taekwondo Championship held on April 2, 2026, at Siddaganga Institute of Technology (SIT), Tumakuru.
Both men’s and women’s teams showcased determination and skill, bringing laurels to the institution through notable individual achievements.

The athletes performed under the guidance of Ms. Vaneesha V Rodrigues, Physical Education Director, and Mr. Sudheer, Assistant Physical Education Director.

- Ms. Deekshitha Prasanth Nair (VI Sem CSE) – Second place in below 67 kg category

- Mr. Sivaraj M. V. (IV Sem ME) – Third place in below 68 kg category
- Mr. Malatesh Sadanand Angadi (II Sem ECE) – Third place in below 74 kg category
