Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) apprehended 19 individuals involved in cheating during the Class 10 English examination. Raids were conducted at two locations in Hardoi district, where solvers were caught red-handed attempting to manipulate the exam.
Raid at principal’s residence
Acting on a tip-off, an STF team, accompanied by District Inspector of Schools Balmukund Prasad, raided Jagannath Singh Public Inter College in Katiyamau village. A second raid was conducted at the principal’s house, located a few kilometers away. Authorities discovered 14 individuals—five men and nine women—solving the question paper. The STF confiscated 20 answer sheets from the site.
Second crackdown near another exam center
In another operation, two women were caught outside Jai Subhash Mahabali Inter College in Dalel Nagar, actively solving the paper. Further investigation led to the arrest of examination in-charge Manish Singh, center in-charge Ram Milan, and a teacher.
District Inspector Balmukund Prasad confirmed that the arrested individuals were part of a cheating network impersonating students. Following the bust, the examination center administrators and static magistrates of both institutions will be replaced. A formal request for action against all responsible officials has been sent to higher authorities.
