The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is set to release the admit cards for the NDA 2 Exam 2024. Candidates who have registered for the exam should expect to download their admit cards from the official UPSC website in the last week of August.

The NDA 2 Exam 2024 is scheduled for September 1, 2024. The examination will be conducted in two shifts on this date. The selection process for the candidates comprises a written examination, followed by a Service Selection Board (SSB) interview and a medical examination.

Candidates are advised to regularly check the UPSC website for updates and ensure they download their admit cards well before the examination date. The admit card will be crucial for entry into the examination hall, so timely download is essential.

The NDA 2 Exam will be held in offline mode and will consist of two main papers:

Mathematics Paper: This section will have a total of 120 questions, with a maximum score of 300 marks. Candidates will have 2.5 hours to complete this paper. The questions will cover a range of topics from the 10+2 curriculum, including Algebra, Trigonometry, and Calculus.

General Ability Test (GAT): The GAT will include 150 questions, carrying a total of 600 marks, and will also be allotted 2.5 hours. The GAT is divided into two parts:

  • English Section: This part, worth 200 marks, will assess candidates’ proficiency in English, focusing on vocabulary, grammar, and comprehension.
  • General Knowledge Section: Worth 400 marks, this section will cover a broad range of subjects including Physics, Chemistry, General Science, History, Geography, and Current Affairs.

Candidates who successfully pass the NDA 2 Exam will progress to the next stage of the selection process:

  • Service Selection Board (SSB) Interview: This phase includes several assessments designed to evaluate a candidate’s suitability for a career in the armed forces. Components of the SSB interview include:
    • Psychological Tests: These tests are intended to assess the mental and emotional stability of candidates.
    • Group Tasks: Various group activities will test candidates’ teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
    • Personal Interview: A one-on-one interview with an SSB officer will assess the candidate’s motivations, experiences, and overall suitability for a career in defense services.

The NDA 2 Exam and subsequent SSB interview collectively aim to identify candidates who possess both the requisite academic knowledge and the personal attributes necessary for a successful career in the Indian Armed Forces.

For candidates preparing for the NDA 2024, reviewing past exam papers, understanding the test pattern, and practicing with sample questions can be beneficial. Additionally, familiarizing oneself with the SSB interview process and undergoing mock interviews can significantly enhance performance.
