Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan is reportedly set to marry his partner Gauri Spratt in an intimate ceremony next month. According to media reports, the couple is expected to tie the knot on July 5 in the presence of close family members and friends.
The development comes months after Aamir publicly introduced Gauri as his partner during celebrations surrounding his 60th birthday. Since then, the couple has been seen together at several family gatherings and industry events, fuelling speculation about their future plans.
Private wedding planned at family residence
According to reports, the wedding ceremony will take place at Aamir Khan’s residence and will be a private affair attended only by family members and a select group of close friends.
Sources quoted in entertainment reports claim that the couple has already been living together for more than a year and has built a stable family life. The reported wedding is said to be a formal celebration of their relationship in the presence of loved ones.
Neither Aamir Khan nor Gauri Spratt has officially confirmed the reports.
Who is Gauri Spratt?
Gauri Spratt, originally from Bengaluru, reportedly reconnected with Aamir around three years ago after knowing him for more than two decades.
During a media interaction last year, Aamir revealed that he and Gauri had known each other for nearly 25 years before reconnecting. She currently resides in Mumbai and is associated with the beauty and wellness industry through her hair salon business.
Gauri was previously married and has a son named Quinn from her earlier relationship. Her family background has also drawn attention, with reports noting that her grandfather, Philip Spratt, was a British-born political activist who later settled in India.
Aamir Khan’s previous marriages
Aamir Khan was first married to Reena Dutta in 1986. The couple has two children, Junaid Khan and Ira Khan. Their marriage ended in divorce in 2002.
The actor later married Kiran Rao in 2005 after the two met during the production of the movie Lagaan. They have a son, Azad Rao Khan, and announced their separation in 2021. Despite their divorce, Aamir and Kiran have continued to work together professionally and co-parent their son.
Busy slate of upcoming projects
On the professional front, Aamir Khan remains active as both an actor and producer. He is currently promoting Sitaare Zameen Par and is also producing the upcoming period drama Batwara 1947, starring Sunny Deol.
