New Delhi: Actors Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda had met Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier this week to personally invite him to their wedding reception, days before they tied the knot in Udaipur. Photographs from the meeting surfaced online only after their wedding, quickly going viral on social media.
In the images now widely circulating, Rashmika is seen dressed in a bright yellow ethnic outfit, while Vijay opted for an understated all-white traditional ensemble. The couple also presented the Prime Minister with a shawl as a mark of respect while extending an invitation for their wedding reception scheduled to be held in Hyderabad on March 4.
Pictures from the same meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah also emerged online, adding to the buzz around the newlyweds.
Wedding held in Udaipur
Rashmika and Vijay got married on February 26 in a private ceremony in Udaipur, attended only by close friends and family members. The wedding was hosted at the luxurious ITC Mementos and followed Telugu and Kodava traditions.

For the wedding, Rashmika wore a rust-hued saree paired with heritage jewellery, while Vijay donned an ivory dhoti complemented by a striking vermillion angavastram intricately embroidered with forest and temple-inspired motifs symbolising power, lineage and sacred architecture.
Nearly eight years of togetherness
The actors, who worked together in the films Geetha Govindam and Dear Comrade, are believed to have been in a relationship for nearly eight years before getting married. Despite frequent speculation about their romance, the two largely kept their relationship private until announcing their wedding.
Following the ceremony, both shared heartfelt messages on social media. Rashmika described Vijay as her best friend and life partner, while Vijay expressed joy at marrying someone who has been a constant source of support in his life.
