Mumbai: Actor Alia Bhatt grabbed attention at Anshula Kapoor and Rohan Thakkar’s lavish wedding reception by recreating internet sensation Orry’s signature pose. The candid moments, shared by Orry on Instagram Stories, quickly went viral, delighting fans on social media.
For the celebration, Alia opted for an elegant green lehenga, while Orry wore a maroon kurta. In one picture, the actor struck Orry’s trademark pose by placing one hand on his chest. Another photo showed her playfully pretending to aim at him, adding a fun element to the evening.
Star-studded celebration
The cocktail reception, hosted by newlyweds Anshula Kapoor and Rohan Thakkar in Mumbai on Tuesday night, was attended by several prominent names from the film industry.
Among the celebrities present were Rekha, Bobby Deol, Rakul Preet Singh, Jackky Bhagnani, filmmaker Atlee and veteran actor Shabana Azmi. While Alia Bhatt largely stayed away from the media spotlight during the event, the pictures shared by Orry became one of the evening’s most talked-about moments.
Anshula shares heartfelt message
Sharing photographs from her wedding celebrations, Anshula Kapoor posted an emotional message dedicated to her husband.
“Of all the people. Of all the places. Of all the timing. It was you. And somehow, through every twist, detour, and surprise, it is still you. My favourite conversation. My safest place. My easiest choice,” she wrote.
Wedding festivities
The couple’s wedding celebrations began on June 21 with a Mata Ki Chowki hosted by Rohan Thakkar’s family. Members of the Kapoor family, including Sanjay Kapoor, Maheep Kapoor, Sunita Kapoor, Shanaya Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor, attended the ceremony.
Anshula also celebrated her mehendi and chooda ceremony over the weekend before tying the knot.
Anshula Kapoor and Rohan Thakkar first met through a dating application. Rohan proposed to her in New York City’s Central Park in July last year, followed by an engagement ceremony in Mumbai attended by family members, including Arjun Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Rhea Kapoor and Shanaya Kapoor.
The wedding reception marked the final leg of the couple’s celebrations, with Alia Bhatt’s playful “Orry pose” becoming one of the highlights of the glamorous evening.
