Prior to their youngest son Anant Ambani’s upcoming wedding, Nita and Mukesh Ambani organized a mass wedding for more than 50 underprivileged couples from Palghar, Maharashtra, on July 2. The event took place at the Reliance Corporate Park in Thane, attended by about 800 guests, including members of the Ambani family—Akash Ambani with Shloka Mehta, and Isha Ambani with Anand Piramal.
Each couple received generous gifts, including gold ornaments like mangalsutras, wedding rings, and nose rings, along with silver items such as toe rings and anklets. Additionally, each bride was presented with a cheque of Rs 1.01 lakh as part of their ‘streedhan’. The Ambanis also provided essential groceries, household items, appliances, and bedding sufficient for a year.
The evening was enriched with cultural performances, including the traditional Tarpa dance by the Warli Tribe, followed by a grand dinner. The Ambani family, known for their philanthropy and belief in “manav seva hi madhav seva” (service to humanity is service to God), traditionally initiates major family celebrations by supporting and serving the community.
Meanwhile, the wedding celebrations for Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant began with a private puja ceremony at Antilia, the Ambani residence in Mumbai, on June 29. Their wedding is scheduled for July 12 at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, spanning three days with events like ‘Shubh Vivaah’, ‘Shubh Aashirwad’, and ‘Mangal Utsav’.
