Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan recently shared on his blog that he has been immersed in reading excerpts from the Ramcharitmanas, just days ahead of the eagerly awaited release of his new film, Kalki 2898 AD. In a late-night post on Monday, Amitabh posted a snapshot of a page from the ancient epic, along with his reflections.

“We are in an era of significant transition, a time that advocates and practices control universally,” Amitabh wrote alongside the picture.

He went on to translate verses from the text, emphasizing the importance of divine knowledge, belief, love, and devotion. Amitabh’s interpretation delved into the analogy of water’s reflective surface and the necessity of guidance and solitude for learning, quoting scriptures that highlight the essence of peace through devotion to Hari.

Expressing his wishes for eternal peace, Amitabh concluded with a heartfelt prayer for the fruition of his message.

His contemplative post comes amidst the buzz surrounding Kalki 2898 AD, where he stars as Ashwatthama, pitted against Prabhas’ Bhairava. At a recent press event, Amitabh humorously recalled his initial astonishment upon hearing the film’s concept from director Nag Ashwin, joking about the visionary approach and the project’s stunning visuals.

With the film set to hit screens on June 27, 2024, Amitabh Bachchan remains deeply engaged in both spiritual reflection and the excitement of his forthcoming cinematic endeavor.
