Mumbai: Amitabh Bachchan, on Sunday, August 2 tested negative for coronavirus and has been discharged from Mumbai’s Nanavati Hospital.
Big B’s son and actor Abhishek Bachchan however has been tested positive again and hence will remain in the hospital.
Abhishek shared the news on Twitter and said: “My father, thankfully, has tested negative on his latest Covid-19 test and has been discharged from the hospital. He will now be at home and rest. Thank you all for all your prayers and wishes for him.”
“I, unfortunately due to some comorbidities remain Covid-19 positive and remain in hospital. Again, thank you all for your continued wishes and prayers for my family. Very humbled and indebted. I’ll beat this and come back healthier! Promise.” Abhishek tweeted in another tweet.
Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan tested positive for the novel coronavirus on July 11. A day later, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Aaradhya Bachchan also tested positive.
The mother-daughter duo was admitted to the hospital on July 17 got discharged on July 27.
