Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan has once again touched hearts with a deeply personal blog entry reflecting on his bond with son Abhishek Bachchan.

The 81-year-old megastar revealed how an unannounced visit from Abhishek brought him unexpected comfort during a moment of emotional unease.

A surprise that “washed away negativity”

In his blog, Amitabh wrote about feeling “distress of dislocation” and anxiety when his son walked into his room without notice.

“The SON… walks into my room unannounced… in a surprise… simply washed away all the negativity, the worry, the anxiousness,” he shared.

Describing Abhishek as “a beautiful, considerate partner, friend and more,” the veteran actor expressed gratitude for the quiet reassurance that family provides, even after decades under the public spotlight.

A bond admired by many

Amitabh, who married Jaya Bachchan in 1973, has often spoken about the strength of family ties. Over the years, the Bachchans have been regarded as one of Bollywood’s most closely knit families, with father and son frequently expressing admiration for one another.

On the professional front

Amitabh was last seen in Vettaiyan (2024), directed by T. J. Gnanavel and featuring Rajinikanth among others.

Abhishek, meanwhile, appeared in Kaalidhar Laapata (2025), directed by Madhumita, portraying a man on a journey of rediscovery.

While their professional achievements continue to make headlines, it is moments like these — simple, heartfelt and deeply human — that resonate most with admirers across generations.
