Mumbai: Actor Arjun Kapoor is set to make a special appearance on the upcoming episode of Koffee With Karan 9, joining his sister Janhvi Kapoor and actor Varun Dhawan on the celebrity chat show hosted by filmmaker Karan Johar. The episode will bring together familiar faces from Bollywood, with Arjun joining the two actors for a special segment.
According to a report by India Today, Janhvi and Varun will share the couch with Karan Johar, while Arjun will make an appearance during a separate portion of the episode. The development adds an unexpected reunion to the upcoming instalment of the show, which is currently airing its ninth and final season.
The episode will also mark the first time Janhvi and Varun appear together on Koffee With Karan. Although both actors have featured on the show separately in previous seasons, their joint appearance is expected to offer viewers a glimpse into their professional association and off-screen equation.
For Arjun and Janhvi, the episode will be another opportunity to appear together on the popular talk show. The siblings previously shared the couch during Season 6 in 2018, when Janhvi made her debut on the programme.
Arjun and Janhvi reunite on the Koffee couch
Arjun and Janhvi’s earlier appearance on Koffee With Karan 6 remains a notable episode in the show’s history. The siblings spoke about their family, personal lives and relationship during their conversation with Karan Johar.
The 2018 episode was particularly significant for Janhvi, as it marked her first appearance on the show. At the time, she was beginning to establish herself in the film industry following her acting debut in Dhadak.
Arjun, who had already spent several years working in Bollywood, appeared alongside his younger sister as they discussed their family dynamics and personal experiences. Their conversation offered viewers a look at their relationship and how they navigated their lives within the film industry.
Their upcoming reunion will take place in a different setting, with Janhvi appearing alongside Varun for the main episode. Arjun’s special appearance is expected to bring an additional family element to the conversation.
While details about the segment and the topics discussed have not been fully disclosed, the combination of the siblings and their respective film-industry connections gives the episode a distinct line-up.
Janhvi Kapoor and Varun Dhawan share the couch for the first time
The upcoming episode will also mark Janhvi and Varun’s first joint appearance on Koffee With Karan. The actors have previously appeared on the show separately, but this will be their first time sitting together as guests.
The pair have worked together in films including Bawaal and Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari. Their professional association has brought them together on screen, and their appearance on Karan Johar’s show will offer an opportunity to discuss their experiences working with each other.
Their conversation could touch on their film projects, working relationship and experiences in the entertainment industry. However, the specific subjects covered in the episode have not been confirmed in the available report.
Janhvi has continued to work across different genres, while Varun has built a filmography spanning comedy, romance, action and drama. Their collaboration has made them familiar co-stars, but their joint appearance on the chat show adds a new dimension to their public association.
Arjun’s presence during a special segment is also likely to bring a different dynamic to the episode, particularly given his relationship with Janhvi and his own experience of appearing on the programme.
Koffee With Karan 9 returns for its final season
Koffee With Karan 9 premiered on October 14, 2026, marking the return of one of Bollywood’s most recognisable celebrity chat shows for what has been described as its final season.
The opening episode featured Salman Khan, with actor Karisma Kapoor making a surprise appearance. The episode introduced the season with a combination of celebrity conversations and unexpected guest moments.
The second episode featured Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna on the couch. Their appearance generated attention around the pair’s public interactions and conversations with Karan Johar.
With the upcoming episode bringing together Janhvi, Varun and Arjun, the season continues to feature a mix of established stars and actors with recent collaborations. The special appearances also maintain the programme’s format of introducing unexpected moments alongside its main celebrity interviews.
The ninth season is streaming on JioHotstar. As the final season, it marks the latest chapter in a programme that has remained a prominent part of Bollywood’s television and streaming landscape for more than two decades.
Karan Johar’s celebrity chat show began in 2004
Hosted by filmmaker Karan Johar, Koffee With Karan first premiered in 2004. Over the years, the show has become known for bringing actors, filmmakers and other entertainment personalities together for informal conversations about their careers, relationships, friendships and experiences in the film industry.
Its format combines celebrity interviews with games and special segments designed to reveal lighter aspects of the guests’ personalities. The programme has also frequently generated discussion around guests’ comments and interactions, helping it maintain a prominent place in entertainment news.
Across its earlier seasons, the show has featured several generations of Bollywood actors, with guests often discussing their latest projects alongside personal anecdotes and industry experiences.
The ninth season carries additional significance because it has been presented as the show’s final instalment. Its opening episodes have already featured major Bollywood names, and the upcoming appearance by Janhvi, Varun and Arjun adds another combination of actors to the line-up.
What to expect from the upcoming episode
The upcoming episode of Koffee With Karan 9 will bring together Janhvi Kapoor and Varun Dhawan for their first joint appearance on the show, while Arjun Kapoor will join them for a special segment.
The episode will also reunite Arjun and Janhvi on the programme eight years after their appearance together in Season 6. Their earlier conversation focused on family and personal experiences, while the new episode will place Janhvi alongside one of her film co-stars.
Although details of the discussions and special segment remain limited, the combination of the three actors gives the episode a mix of family ties and professional connections.
As the ninth season continues on JioHotstar, the episode is another addition to the show’s final run, bringing together Bollywood personalities whose careers have intersected on screen and through their appearances on the programme.
