Mumbai: The trailer of Baby Do Die Do, an upcoming Hindi thriller starring Huma Qureshi in the lead role, has been released ahead of the film’s theatrical release on July 3, 2026.

Directed by Nachiket Samant and produced by Saqib Saleem, the film promises a gripping blend of suspense, emotions and revenge, centred around a deaf and mute woman whose troubled past catches up with her.

The thriller also features Sikandar Kher, Chunky Panday, Rachit Singh, Marudha Shekhawat, Vidya Malvade, Arun Kushwah and Himanshu Malik in pivotal roles.

Trailer hints at mystery and revenge

Baby Do Die Do revolves around Baby, played by Huma Qureshi, a woman who cannot hear or speak but finds herself entangled in a dangerous world involving the underworld, betrayal and vengeance.

The trailer offers glimpses of a suspense-filled narrative where nothing appears to be as it seems, with multiple characters harbouring secrets and hidden motives.

Director Nachiket Samant said the intention was never to make a conventional loud thriller but rather a story where suspense emerges from the emotions and complexities of the characters.

“When we started making this film, the idea was never to make a loud thriller. We wanted the suspense to come from the people and the emotions. Baby doesn’t speak, but she’s probably the most expressive character in the film,” the director said.

He added that the trailer only reveals a small part of the story and that audiences can expect several surprises in the film.

Huma Qureshi on playing Baby

Huma Qureshi described the role as one of the most challenging performances of her career.

The actress said portraying a character who communicates entirely through expressions and emotions required her to approach acting differently.

“Baby challenged me in ways I didn’t expect. She doesn’t rely on words, so every emotion had to come from within. There were days when saying nothing felt much harder than delivering pages of dialogue,” she said.

She also expressed hope that audiences would experience the film without trying to predict its twists too early and instead immerse themselves in Baby’s journey.

Producer calls film original and emotional

Producer Saqib Saleem said he immediately connected with the story because of its originality and emotional depth.

“The moment I heard this story, I knew it deserved to be told. It’s original, it’s emotional and it keeps you guessing till the very end,” he said.

According to Saleem, the film does not fit into familiar storytelling templates and offers something different to audiences seeking a suspense thriller.

Cast promises multiple layers

Sikandar Kher said one of the most interesting aspects of the film is that none of the characters are exactly who they appear to be.

“As an actor, that’s always fun because every scene has another layer to it. I think audiences will enjoy putting the pieces together as the story unfolds,” he said.

Chunky Panday also praised the screenplay, saying the best thrillers are those that remain with viewers long after the credits roll.

“It keeps drawing you in, and just when you think you’ve understood it, it surprises you again,” he said.

Release on July 3

Baby Do Die Do is a production of Saleem Siblings in association with Pune 04 Film.
