Mumbai: The latest episode of Bigg Boss 20 saw a heated exchange between Qazi Touqeer and Isha Rikhi following the captaincy task, with Isha breaking down in tears and saying that Qazi had behaved aggressively towards her.
As the contestants discussed the incident, Mahhi Vij questioned Isha’s repeated references to “trauma” and “anxiety”. Mahhi also raised concerns that viewers outside the show could interpret Isha’s comments as an indirect allegation against her former husband, rapper Badshah.
Mahhi said that references to trauma could lead viewers to speculate about events that have not been established or discussed as facts on the show.
Isha breaks down after captaincy task
The episode featured a confrontation between Qazi and Isha after the captaincy task.
Following the incident, Isha became emotional and claimed that Qazi’s behaviour had affected her. She referred to feelings of trauma and anxiety while explaining her reaction to the confrontation.
The incident subsequently became a topic of discussion among the housemates, with contestants offering different views on Isha’s response and Qazi’s conduct.
Mahhi questioned whether Qazi raising his voice during an argument should necessarily be connected to past trauma.
While speaking to Uditi Singh and Arishfa Khan, Mahhi said, “Agar usne chillaya to tumhara kaun sa trauma hit ho gaya bhai (If he shouted, then trauma! What kind of trauma did it hit?)”
She added, “Everybody has gone through their own traumas.”
Mahhi raises concern over Badshah reference
Mahhi then shifted the discussion to how Isha’s statements might be interpreted by viewers outside the Bigg Boss house.
Isha was previously married to Badshah, and the couple’s marriage ended recently. Mahhi suggested that references to trauma and anxiety could lead viewers to make their own assumptions about Isha’s past relationship.
Mahhi said, “Aur phir aap yaha pe le ke aa rhe ho ki mera koi trauma hai. Kal to bahar log sochenge pata nahi, badshah ne iske sath kya kar diya. (And then you come here and say I have trauma. People outside will think what Badshah did to her).”
Her comments were framed around the possible interpretation of Isha’s words rather than a claim that any particular incident had taken place in her previous relationship.
Mahhi argued that contestants should consider how statements made inside the reality show can be understood by audiences watching from outside.
Mahhi calls it an indirect accusation
Mahhi went on to say that she believed Isha’s comments could be perceived as an indirect accusation against Badshah.
“Aap to indirectly uske upar character accusation laga raha ho yar, this is like character assassination (you are indirectly putting character accusation on him),” Mahhi said.
She explained her argument using an example involving a woman saying that she was afraid of being slapped and describing the reaction as trauma.
According to Mahhi, such a statement could prompt viewers to automatically connect the fear with the woman’s partner, even when no such allegation has been directly made.
“That is not right,” Mahhi concluded.
Her remarks became part of the wider discussion inside the house about how contestants describe their emotional responses during conflicts and how those statements can be interpreted by audiences.
Debate over Isha’s reaction
The confrontation has also generated discussion among viewers, with social media reactions divided over both Isha’s emotional response and Qazi’s conduct during the disagreement.
Some viewers questioned whether Qazi’s behaviour during the confrontation justified the level of emotional distress displayed by Isha.
Others supported Isha’s decision to describe how the incident made her feel, arguing that an individual’s emotional response to a confrontation can vary and cannot necessarily be judged from the incident alone.
The episode therefore left viewers with differing interpretations of the confrontation, rather than a single agreed view of what caused Isha’s reaction.
Bigg Boss house tensions continue
The disagreement comes as the contestants continue to navigate tasks, nominations, captaincy challenges and interpersonal conflicts inside the Bigg Boss 20 house.
Captaincy tasks in the reality show frequently become flashpoints for disagreements because contestants are competing for an influential position within the house.
The argument between Qazi and Isha added another layer of tension, with the subsequent discussion involving Mahhi bringing questions about personal boundaries, emotional experiences and how statements made on television can affect people outside the show.
Mahhi’s comments specifically focused on the potential consequences of linking present-day conflicts with references to trauma, particularly when viewers may connect those statements with a contestant’s personal history.
For Isha, the incident remains centred on how she said Qazi’s behaviour made her feel. For Mahhi, the discussion raised a separate concern about how such statements could be interpreted by the public.
The episode has consequently generated debate both inside the house and among viewers following the latest developments in Bigg Boss 20.
