Mumbai: Actors and producers Ravie Dubey and Sargun Mehta are preparing to take their production banner Dreamiyata Entertainment to a much larger stage with an ambitious Pan-India Punjabi film. The project, which will feature Sargun Mehta as the central protagonist, marks a significant creative step for the duo as they expand their storytelling beyond regional boundaries.
Over the years, Dreamiyata Entertainment has steadily built a reputation for creating content rooted in strong narratives and audience connection. From successful Punjabi films to popular television shows and digital projects, the banner has grown into a recognised name in the entertainment space.
Now, the upcoming film signals a new chapter for the production house as it attempts to bridge regional storytelling with a wider national audience.
Ravie Dubey shares early details of the project
In a recent interview, Ravie Dubey offered the first glimpse into the upcoming film, revealing that the project is still under development but has already generated considerable excitement within the team.
According to Dubey, the story will originate from Punjab’s cultural landscape but will be designed to appeal to audiences across India.
“It’s a little bit zipped up right now, but what I can tell you is it’s a film that comes out of Punjab with Sargun being the protagonist of the film, but it is a Pan-India film. So we’re very, very excited about it,” Dubey said.
He further explained that the creative team believes the film will explore a genre that has not yet been fully tapped within Punjabi cinema or even across many other parts of the country.
“Our intention is, and we also feel, that this genre is an untapped genre. Not just in Punjab but in many parts of India as well. So we want to bring this out and we have the beats in mind. We are fleshing out the script and we are fairly ahead in that journey as well,” he added.
Dubey also revealed that the team has already begun early production groundwork. Music development and other creative assets are currently being prepared while the script continues to evolve.
“It’s seeming very, very exciting. We have started developing assets. We have started developing music. We are doing all those things. It just keeps us up at night. We are really having a ball,” he said.
A strong track record for Dreamiyata Entertainment
The announcement comes after a particularly successful phase for Dreamiyata Entertainment. In 2025, the banner achieved a major milestone with the release of Saukhan Saukhane 2, which emerged as the highest-grossing Punjabi film of the year.
Alongside its commercial success as a producer, Sargun Mehta also delivered a strong performance as an actor with the film Sarbala Ji, which performed well at the box office.
The company has also expanded its presence in the digital entertainment space. Its YouTube-first platform Dreamiyata Drama has recorded impressive viewership figures, crossing more than 1.1 billion views and 9 billion minutes of watch time. The platform has been credited with pioneering long-format original drama content designed specifically for digital audiences.
In the music space, Dreamiyata Entertainment also found success with the track Ve Haaniyaan, which reportedly crossed more than 700 million streams across platforms.

Apart from films and digital ventures, Dreamiyata Entertainment has also maintained a strong presence on Indian television.

Ravie Dubey’s upcoming acting project
While developing this ambitious film under Dreamiyata Entertainment, Ravie Dubey is also preparing for a major acting role in the mythological epic Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari.
In the film, Dubey will portray the character of Lakshman, a pivotal figure in the legendary epic.
