Mumbai: Actress Kangana Ranaut has praised fellow Bollywood star Deepika Padukone, saying there will never be another Deepika, as she reflected on the legacy of iconic actresses across generations of Hindi cinema.
In a recent interview, Kangana emphasised that some actresses leave such a lasting impact on the industry that they remain impossible to replace, regardless of changing trends and new talent.
‘There will never be another Deepika’
Speaking about legendary actresses who defined their eras, Kangana said audiences often assume that actors come and go, but certain stars create a legacy that cannot be replicated.
According to the actress, every generation produces unique personalities whose influence remains unmatched.
“There can never be another Meena Kumari. I don’t think there can ever be another Karisma Kapoor either,” Kangana said while discussing the evolution of Hindi cinema.
Extending the comparison to contemporary stars, she added that Deepika Padukone belongs in the same category of irreplaceable performers.
“There will never be another Madhuri Dixit. And I’m not just talking about myself. I feel there will never be another Deepika Padukone either,” she remarked.

Kangana also highlighted the contributions of several legendary actresses who, in her view, became defining faces of their respective eras.
She named icons such as Hema Malini, Waheeda Rehman and Madhubala, describing them as artists whose place in Indian cinema remains unmatched.
According to Kangana, every era has performers who become symbols of their time and whose legacy endures long after their active careers.
She also included Madhuri Dixit and Karisma Kapoor among the actresses she believes cannot be replaced.
