Lawyer Jagadish, who gained significant attention through his participation in Bigg Boss Kannada 11, has returned to the spotlight with a serious complaint against actor Darshan’s fans. Known for his outspoken nature, Jagadish has now accused Darshan’s followers, particularly one fan named Rishi, of issuing death threats against him after he made comments regarding the actor’s legal issues. Jagadish, who has previously spoken at length about the ongoing murder case involving Darshan, claims that the actor’s supporters have harassed him relentlessly, which led to his filing a formal police complaint.
Jagadish, who has long been vocal in his criticisms of Darshan and his fanbase, claims that after the actor’s recent release on medical bail, he started receiving a barrage of threatening calls and messages. According to Jagadish, the threats were particularly targeted at him for his remarks regarding Darshan’s involvement in legal matters. Jagadish had often assured the public in the past that his team was fully capable of handling any situation concerning the actor and that Darshan’s fans should not attempt to intimidate him or his team. However, Jagadish’s position appears to have sparked a new wave of aggression from the actor’s supporters.
Jagadish filed the complaint at the Kodigehalli Police Station, citing harassment and threats to his life. In his statement, Jagadish singled out a fan named Rishi, accusing him of personally threatening him with murder. According to the lawyer, the threats were persistent and included around 10,000 phone calls from unknown numbers. Jagadish made it clear that while he had refrained from responding to these threats initially, he felt compelled to take legal action after they escalated.
In a detailed statement to the media, Jagadish expressed his frustration over the continuous harassment. He said, “A person named Rishi, in particular, has threatened me with murder. He insulted me by saying I should speak respectfully about Darshan. Over the past few days, I’ve received continuous calls, around 10,000 calls in total, from unknown numbers. We haven’t bothered responding to these threats, but now I am filing a complaint against both Darshan and Rishi.”
Jagadish further condemned the actions of Darshan’s fans, stating that their behaviour was not only inappropriate but cowardly. “If you’re threatening us over a phone call, there’s no one more cowardly than people like you. How dare you speak about Darshan like this? How can you degrade the Kannada film industry like this? You call yourself a fan of Darshan, but you seem to forget that he is currently out on medical bail. Is he behind these threats, or are others doing this in his name?” he questioned.
Jagadish also reflected on his journey into the Kannada film industry, asserting that he had earned his place through hard work and his stint in Bigg Boss Kannada. He accused Darshan and his supporters of not appreciating his growing presence in the industry, despite his attempts to stay neutral and speak his mind. “I made my name on Bigg Boss, and now I’m getting involved in the Kannada film industry. But it seems Darshan and his associates don’t appreciate that. I’m just speaking my mind, and this is the response I get,” he added.
In response to the threats and harassment, Jagadish has officially filed a complaint at the Kodigehalli Police Station. The complaint is centred on the allegations of criminal intimidation, harassment, and the threats made against his life. The police have initiated an investigation into the matter, and it remains to be seen how the case will develop in the coming days.
While Jagadish has made it clear that his concerns are with the actions of certain fans, not Darshan himself, the situation has raised questions about the behaviour of fanbases in the Kannada film industry.
