The untimely passing of Mayank Pawar at the age of 37 has left fans grieving. While the initial announcement did not disclose the cause of death, his mother has now spoken about the emotional and health challenges he faced in recent years.

Mayank, who rose to prominence through MTV Splitsvilla Season 7 and later became a seven-time Mr India title holder, reportedly struggled with personal setbacks following his divorce in 2014.

Divorce and declining health

In an interview with One India, his mother Rajni revealed that the separation deeply affected him. She said he endured prolonged mental stress and depression after the divorce.

According to her, Mayank developed a serious liver ailment in March 2025 and was hospitalised. Though he received treatment, he never fully recovered. Family members stated that loneliness and emotional distress weighed heavily on him despite his dedication to fitness and training.

He reportedly passed away at his residence on February 24, 2026, after his condition suddenly worsened. His official team had earlier confirmed his death but did not disclose medical details.

Fans mourn, debate resurfaces

Mayank had celebrated his 37th birthday on January 1, 2026. His sudden demise within weeks shocked followers across the fitness and entertainment communities.

His prayer meet has been scheduled for February 25, 2026, at Valmiki Mandir, Sangam Park, Rana Pratap Bagh.

As condolences continue to pour in, discussions have also resurfaced regarding mental health, stress management and the physical demands of competitive bodybuilding.
