Mumbai: Mona Singh has indicated a new creative direction in her career, expressing her readiness to take on more layered and unconventional roles, including negative and grey characters.

The actor, who is currently enjoying a busy phase with multiple projects across platforms, said she is now keen to move beyond her long-standing on-screen image of playing morally upright characters.

“I am very grateful that now the industry is giving me these opportunities. The tough call was to step away from the relatable, moral compass image,” she said.
