Casting director Mukesh Chhabra recently shared how actor Suniel Shetty played a pivotal role in his success by gifting him a bungalow in Versova. This generous gesture came after Chhabra cast Shetty’s daughter, Athiya Shetty, in her debut film, Hero.

In a recent podcast on the YouTube channel BHARTI TV, Chhabra opened up about the incredible support he received from Suniel Shetty during his early days as a casting director. Chhabra explained, “When I started flourishing as a casting director, Suniel Shetty, who is one of the best human beings in Mumbai, offered me his bungalow in Aram Nagar called 160. At the time, I was working on the film Hero with his daughter Athiya Shetty.”

Chhabra continued, “He noticed I was working in a small office and told me to take his bungalow in Aram Nagar. I was feeling a lot of pressure at the time, but he reassured me, saying, ‘Don’t worry, just keep doing good work.’ He never publicizes his good deeds. He simply said, ‘You’ve done so much for my daughter, just take this bungalow and don’t worry about the rent.'”

With Shetty’s support, Chhabra was able to set up a new office, which marked a significant turning point in his career. “I decorated the new office, created a new logo, and inaugurated the office,” Chhabra recounted. “During the inauguration, many actors turned up, including Rajkummar Rao. I worked with my close friends and built the company together.”

This gift and opportunity allowed Chhabra to grow his business significantly. “Gradually, we reached a stage where now we have offices in Chandigarh, Delhi, and London,” he said.

Suniel Shetty’s gesture not only provided Chhabra with a space to grow but also cemented a lasting friendship between the two, illustrating how acts of kindness can have a profound impact on someone’s life and career.
