Hyderabad: The recently launched song Hallallallo from the upcoming Telugu film Peddi has sparked discussion on social media, with some users criticising portions of the dance choreography and questioning its relevance in current cinema trends.

The song, composed by A. R. Rahman, was launched during a large promotional event in Bhopal attended by the film’s cast and audience members. Following its digital release, several clips from the song began circulating online and prompted mixed reactions from viewers.

While some users appreciated the energetic presentation, others raised concerns regarding specific dance movements and the portrayal of women in the visuals.

The track features lead actor Ram Charan along with Shruti Haasan in a special appearance and Janhvi Kapoor, who plays the female lead in the film.

The soundtrack was introduced at a major promotional event in Bhopal attended by the cast and fans.

The event featured appearances by Ram Charan, Janhvi Kapoor and director Buchi Babu Sana alongside members of the production team.

The song itself is performed by Rakshita Suresh and was later made available digitally following the stage launch.

Film set for release next month

Peddi is described as a sports action drama and is being produced by IVY Entertainment with presentation support from Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings.

Apart from Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor, the film also features Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu and Divyenndu in supporting roles.

The technical team includes cinematographer Rathnavelu and editor Naveen Nooli.

The film is scheduled for theatrical release on June 4.
