Hyderabad: Actor Raghav Juyal has penned an emotional note of gratitude for his The Paradise co-star Nani, praising the Telugu actor for being a source of support and guidance during moments when he felt lost or overwhelmed.
Raghav, who plays one of the antagonists in director Srikanth Odela’s recently released film, shared the heartfelt message on Instagram, describing Nani as someone who made him feel understood without ever judging him for being confused or emotional.
“There are very few people in life who become your safe place without even knowing it. For me, Nani dada is one of those people,” Raghav wrote.
Raghav praises Nani’s support
The actor said he had tried several times to put into words what Nani meant to him but admitted that words would never be enough.
Raghav expressed admiration not only for Nani as an actor and artist but also for his qualities as a person.
“I genuinely love you and admire you so much — not just as an actor or an artist, but as a human being,” he wrote.
Speaking about his own experiences in the film industry, Raghav said there had been moments when he felt uncertain and lost. According to him, Nani had consistently been present whenever he found himself at such crossroads.
The actor recalled conversations that extended for hours and covered cinema, career choices and life, as well as seemingly ordinary subjects.
“Dada, you’ve sat me down and spoken to me for hours. About cinema, about my career, about life, and sometimes about nothing in particular,” Raghav wrote.
‘You’ve never made me feel small’
Raghav particularly highlighted the comfort he found in being able to speak openly with Nani.
He said the actor listened to him and understood what he was going through without making him feel inadequate for being uncertain or emotional.
“You’ve never made me feel small for being confused or emotional,” Raghav wrote, adding that his conversations with Nani left him feeling lighter.
The actor also drew a distinction between receiving advice and genuinely feeling understood. According to Raghav, Nani offered him both support and perspective at important moments in his career.
“Some people give you advice, but very few people make you feel understood and give you perspective. Nani dada, you gave me both,” he said.
Nani helped shape his career perspective
Raghav credited Nani with helping him reflect on the kind of films he wanted to be associated with and the choices he wanted to make professionally.
He said the conversations also helped him think beyond career decisions and consider the kind of person he wanted to remain while navigating the film industry.
“You helped me understand what kind of films I want to be a part of, what choices are worth making, and more importantly, what kind of person I want to remain while making them,” Raghav wrote.
The actor went on to praise Nani’s craft, mind, honesty and kindness. He said he particularly admired the person Nani was away from the public spotlight.
‘Some people quietly hold your heart together’
Raghav also expressed gratitude for having Nani in his life at a time when he needed such support.
He said Nani’s influence extended beyond professional mentorship and described their relationship as one that had also provided emotional strength.
“I’m just incredibly grateful that life gave me someone like you during a time when I needed that kind of person,” he wrote.
Towards the end of his note, Raghav thanked Nani for answering his calls, listening to him and spending hours talking whenever he felt lost.
“Thank you for reminding me who I am when the noise around me gets too loud,” he wrote.
Raghav concluded by saying that while some people mentor a person’s career, others quietly provide emotional support, and Nani had done both for him.
“You have done both for me. I love you, Nani dada. More than I probably ever say,” he added.
Raghav and Nani share screen space in The Paradise
Raghav Juyal and Nani currently share the screen in The Paradise, directed by Srikanth Odela. Raghav plays one of the antagonists in the film, while Nani headlines the project.
The emotional note comes as the film brings the two actors together professionally, with Raghav publicly acknowledging the personal impact Nani has had on him.
The message has also offered audiences a glimpse into the camaraderie between the two actors beyond their roles in the film.
