Mangaluru, June 28, 2024: Raj B. Shetty, renowned for his unique experiments and performances in the Kannada cinema industry, has announced his new movie, “Roopanthara.” The film reunites the team from his debut directorial “Ondu Motteya Kathe” and the hit movie “Garuda Gamana.”

Yesterday, Raj hinted at the new movie during an Instagram live session. Today, he surprised his fans by sharing the first look poster of “Roopanthara” on his official Instagram account. The intriguing title, which means “Metamorphosis,” has already caught attention and sparked curiosity among fans.
Talented Team and Unique Concept
The story for “Roopanthara” is written and directed by Mithilesh Edavalath, with Raj B. Shetty translating the screenplay and dialogues from Malayalam to Kannada. The film is produced by Suhaan Prasad and Parth Jani, with Shabarish Kabbinale as the executive producer. Popular music director Mithun Mukundan has composed the music. Mithilesh, originally from Kerala, pursued higher education in Bengaluru and has experience as an associate director in Malayalam films. The title reveal poster has already generated a lot of excitement.
Raj B. Shetty’s Unique Role
Raj Shetty, who recently appeared in a negative role alongside Mollywood megastar Mammootty in “Turbo,” will play a goon from a slum background in “Roopanthara.” He previously portrayed a rugged goon look in “Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana.” Actress Shwetha Srinivas plays the female lead role. The film also stars Jaishankar, known for directing the short film “Uchavva” in the anthology “Katha Sangama,” along with Bharat G.B., Muralidhar C.K., Somanna Bolegav, Lekha, Hanumakka, Anjan Bharadwaj, and others. The shooting and technical work of the film are completed, and it is set to release soon. Fans are eagerly anticipating Raj B. Shetty’s performance in “Roopanthara.”
