Actor Ram Charan was mobbed by fans outside a hospital in Hyderabad when he arrived to visit his wife and newborn twins, triggering widespread outrage on social media over concerns for the safety of his young daughter.
Chaotic scenes outside hospital
The incident occurred on Sunday when Ram Charan visited Apollo Hospital, accompanied by his two-year-old daughter, Klin Kaara. He had come to see his wife, Upasana Konidela, who recently gave birth to twins.
Videos that surfaced online show the actor stepping out of his vehicle with his daughter in his arms, only to be immediately surrounded by a large crowd of fans. Despite the presence of security personnel, the crowd surged forward, jostling and pushing to get closer to the actor.
In the clip, Ram Charan appears visibly distressed as he struggles to shield his daughter from the chaos. At one point, he is seen pushing back and asking the crowd to clear a path. Klin Kaara can be seen hiding her face as the situation escalates, before security staff guide them away to safety.
Social media outrage
The video sparked sharp criticism online, with many users questioning the lack of restraint shown by fans, especially at a hospital. Several posts highlighted the risk posed to a small child and called the behaviour irresponsible.
“Why crowd a hospital at all, especially when a child is involved?” one user wrote, while another said fans should show basic decency and respect personal space during private family moments.
Actor’s work front
Ram Charan was last seen in S Shankar’s action drama Game Changer. He is currently working on Peddi, a rural sports action film directed by Buchi Babu Sana.
The incident has reignited discussions around celebrity safety, fan behaviour, and the need for greater crowd control, particularly in sensitive spaces such as hospitals.
