Ranbir Kapoor recently shared insights into his relationship with his wife, Alia Bhatt, and discussed his experiences with therapy, highlighting the significant impact she has had on his life.
In a candid conversation on Nikhil Kamath’s podcast, Ranbir spoke about the adjustments that both he and Alia have made to their relationship. He acknowledged that Alia has adapted her behavior to better fit their life together, emphasizing that compromise and selflessness are essential for a successful marriage.
Ranbir reflected on the realities of marriage, noting that both partners often need to make changes. He shared an example of how Alia, who used to speak loudly, made efforts to adjust her tone—a significant change given that she had spoken this way for much of her life. He commented, “She made a real effort to change something that had been part of her for 30 years.”
He admitted that while he recognizes the changes Alia has made for him, he also needs to work on his own adjustments. “I appreciate how much she has changed for me, but I also need to make some changes myself,” he said.
Ranbir also opened up about his experiences with therapy, revealing that it had not been effective for him. He cited two main reasons: difficulty in fully expressing himself to the therapist and feeling that the therapy sessions were teaching him to manipulate life rather than address underlying issues.
Ranbir and Alia, who married on April 14, 2022, in an intimate ceremony at their Mumbai home, welcomed their daughter, Raha Kapoor, on November 6 of that year. They first introduced Raha to the public in a family photo during Christmas 2023.
On the professional front, Ranbir Kapoor recently starred in the film ‘Animal,’ directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, which has been a major hit of 2023. He is set to appear in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming film ‘Love and War,’ alongside Vicky Kaushal and Alia Bhatt.
