The much-awaited mythological film Ramayana, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, and KGF’s Yash as Ravana, has generated significant buzz. Although the film’s cast has yet to be officially disclosed, a few months ago, pictures from the sets featuring Kapoor, Pallavi, Lara Dutta, and Arun Govil surfaced online. Casting director Mukesh Chhabra had previously shared that finding the right actor for the role of Lakshman was quite challenging, but they eventually found a perfect fit. Now, actor Ravi Dubey has confirmed his participation in the project.
In a recent conversation with Connect Cine, Dubey shared his excitement about portraying Lakshman in Ramayana. “I’m thrilled to announce that I’m playing Lakshman in the film,” he said, revealing that the makers gave him the green light to disclose this information. Dubey had kept it under wraps previously to avoid revealing spoilers or disrupting the planned cast announcements by the filmmakers.
This marks Dubey’s first collaboration with Ranbir Kapoor. Reflecting on working alongside the Bollywood superstar, Dubey described Kapoor as the “elder brother” he never had, praising his warmth, professionalism, and humility. “He is the most kind-hearted, gracious, and empathetic person,” Dubey added, admiring Kapoor’s presence both on and off the set.
