Mumbai: Bollywood actor Salman Khan has reportedly sold his apartment in Mumbai’s Bandra West for Rs 3.50 crore, nearly 11 years after purchasing the property. The transaction, registered on July 9, 2026, is estimated to have earned the actor a profit of around Rs 62 lakh over the original purchase price.

According to property data from CRE Matrix, the apartment is located in Shiv-Asthan Heights in Bandra West and has a carpet area of 758 sq ft. The property also comes with two car parking spaces.

Apartment sold after 11 years

Salman Khan had purchased the apartment in 2015 for Rs 2.88 crore. Based on the reported sale value of Rs 3.50 crore, the actor made an estimated gain of Rs 62 lakh from the transaction.

The buyers reportedly paid Rs 21 lakh as stamp duty and Rs 30,000 towards registration charges. The deal translates to a price of approximately Rs 46,000 per sq ft based on the carpet area.

Khan family preparing to shift

The sale comes as Salman Khan and his family prepare to move from the iconic Galaxy Apartments in Bandra, where the actor has lived for decades with his parents.

The family is constructing a new six-storey sea-facing bungalow in Bandra’s Chimbai area, located just a short distance from Galaxy Apartments.

According to reports, the Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority (MCZMA) granted approval on June 16 for the residential project.

New bungalow under construction

The land on which the new residence is being built was purchased in 2011 by Salman’s mother, Salma Khan (Sushila Charak). The property, which previously housed a two-storey bungalow, was demolished after being declared structurally dilapidated.

As per the approved proposal, the new development will comprise a ground floor, stilt parking and six residential floors, to be constructed under Regulation 33(16) of the Development Control and Promotion Regulations (DCPR) 2034.

The project has received the necessary Intimation of Disapproval (IOD) from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), while Sach Developers has been appointed to execute the construction. The development will also include a 6.01-metre-wide access road connecting it to the municipal road.

Upcoming film

On the professional front, Salman Khan is awaiting the release of Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace. Although the film is reportedly complete, it is yet to be submitted to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) for clearance, according to the makers.

Conclusion

The sale of the Bandra West apartment marks another step in the Khan family’s transition to their new residence. While Salman Khan continues to live at Galaxy Apartments for now, the upcoming sea-facing bungalow is expected to become the family’s new home once construction is completed.
