Mumbai: Shah Rukh Khan has retained his position as the richest Indian actor featured in the Hurun India Rich List 2026, with his estimated net worth pegged at Rs 10,000 crore.
The latest estimate, however, represents a decline from the Rs 12,490 crore wealth attributed to the actor in the Hurun India Rich List 2025. His estimated wealth has therefore fallen by Rs 2,490 crore, or around 20 per cent, over the past year.
Business ventures contribute to his wealth
A significant portion of Shah Rukh Khan’s wealth is linked to his business interests beyond acting.
The actor co-owns Red Chillies Entertainment with his wife, Gauri Khan. The company has interests in film production and visual effects and has been associated with several major Hindi film projects.
Shah Rukh Khan is also associated with Knight Riders Sports, the sports business group behind cricket franchises including the Indian Premier League team Kolkata Knight Riders.
These business interests form an important part of his overall financial portfolio and contribute to his position among India’s wealthiest entertainers.
Wealth estimate lower than previous year
According to the latest Hurun India Rich List, Shah Rukh Khan’s estimated wealth stands at Rs 10,000 crore.
The corresponding figure in the 2025 edition was Rs 12,490 crore. The latest estimate thus reflects a reduction of Rs 2,490 crore.
Earlier in 2026, the Hurun Global Rich List had estimated Shah Rukh Khan’s wealth at Rs 10,800 crore, making the latest India Rich List figure lower than that estimate as well.
The figures are estimates compiled for the respective Hurun rankings and can vary depending on the valuation of business interests and other assets.
Shah Rukh Khan’s film career
Shah Rukh Khan has not had a theatrical release since 2023, when he returned to leading roles with three films in the same year — Pathaan, Jawan and Dunki.
The three films marked a significant phase in his career after a period away from leading roles.
He is now preparing for his next theatrical release, King. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film features Shah Rukh Khan alongside his daughter Suhana Khan.
King is scheduled to release on December 24.
With the latest Hurun India Rich List estimate of Rs 10,000 crore, Shah Rukh Khan continues to occupy the top position among Indian actors included in the 2026 list, despite the decline in his estimated wealth compared with the previous edition.
