The much-anticipated film “Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya,” helmed by directors Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah, made its theatrical debut on Friday, drawing a mixed response from audiences and critics alike.

According to Sacnilk’s report, the film raked in ₹6.50 crore net on its opening day, with an 8.80% morning show occupancy, gradually rising to 25.46% during night shows.

Starring Kriti Sanon and Shahid Kapoor in the lead roles, the narrative revolves around an engineer portrayed by Kapoor who finds himself entangled in a comedic affair with Sifra, an AI (Artificial Intelligence) female robot portrayed by Sanon. The production, backed by Dinesh Vijan, Jyoti Deshpande, and Laxman Utekar, also boasts the talents of veteran actors Dharmendra and Dimple Kapadia in significant roles.

Despite the star-studded cast and promising premise, the film faced criticism from renowned film critic Saibal Chatterjee, who awarded it a mere 1.5 stars out of 5. Chatterjee remarked, “All the song and dance and the feeble attempts at tickling the funny bone do not yield much dividend. The film relies far too heavily on the chemistry between Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon to help it tide over its gaping crater-sized holes. But since its progress is akin to that of a substandard automaton acquired from the grey market, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya runs on empty and is not even mildly diverting.”
