The upcoming folk thriller film, Vvan – Force of the Forrest, starring Sidharth Malhotra, is set to hit theatres on May 15, 2026, the filmmakers confirmed today.
Backed by Ektaa R Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms Ltd in collaboration with The Viral Fever (TVF), the movie is being helmed by Arunabh Kumar and Deepak Mishra, best known for their work on the acclaimed web series Panchayat.
Initially slated for a Chhath Puja 2025 release, the movie has now officially been pushed to a summer 2026 date. The production houses shared a teaser update on social media with the caption: “The forest has whispered. The force will be unleashed on 15th May, 2026! Get ready for the big screen adventure!”
Also joining the cast is Tamannaah Bhatia, adding star power to the much-anticipated adventure drama. The film marks the first collaboration between Balaji Telefilms and TVF since their creative partnership announced in 2023.
Vvan – Force of the Forrest is expected to combine mystical folklore with modern storytelling, with promises of gripping action and forest-bound intrigue. This fusion of traditional Indian themes with a contemporary cinematic approach positions the film as a unique offering in the adventure-thriller genre.
With the lead duo of Sidharth and Tamannaah, and the creative force of Kumar and Mishra, expectations are building as the countdown to 2026 begins.
