Sukrutha Wagle is set to make a remarkable comeback to cinema in 2024, with three significant film releases lined up after a hiatus to focus on her law studies. The talented actress, who first captivated audiences with her debut in the state award-winning film Jatta in 2013, will be back with Kapati, Martin, and Max.
Kapati, a female-centric film exploring the dark web—a rarely touched subject in Kannada cinema—is set to release on August 23. Directed by Ravi and Chethan SP, and starring Dev Devaiah and Satwik alongside Sukrutha, the film promises to be a fresh and educational experience for audiences. Sukrutha expressed her excitement about the project, saying, “The film’s concept is unique, and it’s important to educate the public about the dark web.”
In Martin, Sukrutha will star alongside Dhruva Sarja in an international release set to premiere in 13 languages, including Japanese, Korean, and Russian, on October 11. She also has a full-fledged role in Max, where she will share the screen with Sudeep, expected to release later in October or November.
Sukrutha’s return is not just about her presence on screen but also about her growth as an actress. Working with stars like Dhruva Sarja and Sudeep has enriched her experience, boosting her confidence for future roles.
Born to Smitha and Sadananda Wagle, Sukrutha Wagle hails from Manipal, Udupi, and continues to be a versatile force in the Kannada film industry.
