A light-hearted moment stole the spotlight at the Da-Bangg tour in Qatar when actor-comedian Sunil Grover arrived on stage mimicking Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, triggering a wave of laughter among fans. The brief encounter between the “real Salman” and the “duplicate Salman” quickly went viral on social media, with fans calling it one of the funniest moments of the evening.

Sunil Grover walks in as ‘Salman’

The event, hosted by Maniesh Paul, took an amusing turn when he led Salman Khan onto the stage and asked him to guess who was approaching from the other end. Much to the surprise and delight of the audience, it was Sunil Grover—dressed head to toe in black, replicating Salman’s exact outfit and trademark swagger.

Grover strutted towards the superstar with exaggerated confidence, mirroring Salman’s signature walk. Salman instantly broke into a smile as the two circled each other on stage, giving fans a rare “Salman versus Salman” moment. At one point, Salman’s bodyguard Shera playfully intervened and escorted Sunil off the stage, prompting Salman to laugh and continue with the show.

Viral reactions on social media

Videos of the moment flooded Instagram, with fans praising Grover’s spot-on impersonation. One user commented, “He is more Salman than actual Salman,” while another wrote, “Epic moment! Sunil Grover too good yaar.” Many viewers recalled Sunil’s iconic impressions of Salman on The Kapil Sharma Show, noting how surreal it felt to watch the scene unfold in real life.

Fans especially loved the brief smiles exchanged between the two performers before Sunil was escorted away. The clip has since garnered thousands of likes and reactions across platforms.

Performers light up the Da-Bangg tour

Apart from Salman Khan and Sunil Grover, the Da-Bangg tour featured performances by Tamannaah Bhatia, Jacqueline Fernandez and singer Stebin Ben. Another clip from the event showed Salman dancing with Tamannaah to his popular romantic track Dil Diyan Gallan. While some fans cheered the performance, a section of the internet labelled it “cringe,” reigniting online debates about celebrity stage acts.

Salman Khan’s upcoming film

On the work front, Salman Khan will next be seen in Apoorva Lakhia’s Battle of Galwan, where he plays an Army officer. The film will recreate the 2020 Galwan Valley clash between Indian and Chinese troops. Also starring Chitrangada Singh, the film is currently in production and is slated for a 2026 release.
