Chennai: Actor Trisha Krishnan has publicly criticised fashion retailer Zara, alleging that clothes delivered through its home delivery service carried a strong body odour. The actor claimed this was the third consecutive order in which she had encountered the same issue and urged the brand to improve its quality checks.

Actor shares complaint on Instagram

On Friday, Trisha took to her Instagram Stories to tag Zara’s official Instagram handle and customer care account while expressing her disappointment over the condition of the clothes she received.

Although she did not reveal which products she had ordered, the actor described the experience as unpleasant and called for stricter quality control before dispatching online orders.

In her post, she wrote, “Errrr dear @zara @zaracare Just a humble request. Pls make sure your clothes don’t reek of body odour (not even mild) the next time we’re placing home deliveries. 3rd time in a row. And pretty darn disgusting. Smell it before you pack it atleast.”

Repeated issue raises concerns

Trisha did not speculate on the reason behind the issue. However, complaints of this nature are sometimes linked to products that may have been tried on, returned by customers and later repackaged without adequate inspection.

As of now, Zara has not issued a public response to the actor’s complaint.

Successful phase in career

The complaint comes during a successful phase in Trisha Krishnan’s career.

Her latest film, Karuppu, starring Suriya and directed by RJ Balaji, was released on May 15. Despite receiving mixed critical reviews, the fantasy courtroom drama emerged as a major commercial success.

According to reports, the film has grossed more than ₹300 crore worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing Tamil film of 2026 and the biggest hit of Suriya’s career.

Trisha has also been part of several successful films in recent years, including Ponniyin Selvan and Leo, further strengthening her position in the Tamil film industry.
