Mumbai: Akshay Kumar’s comedy entertainer Welcome To The Jungle continued its strong run at the box office on its second day, registering steady growth after a promising opening. The Ahmed Khan directorial has now crossed the ₹50 crore mark worldwide, driven by improved collections on Saturday and encouraging occupancy across key markets.

Released in theatres on Friday following paid previews on Thursday evening, the film has maintained momentum with support from family audiences and fans of the popular Welcome franchise.

Day 2 collections show healthy growth

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Welcome To The Jungle earned an estimated ₹20 crore on its second day.

The film had collected ₹18.75 crore on its opening day, taking its total India net collection to ₹39 crore after two days.

Globally, the comedy has amassed ₹57.50 crore within its first two days in theatres, crossing the ₹50 crore milestone.

The film is expected to benefit further from the weekend, with Sunday collections likely to play a crucial role in its opening weekend performance.

Occupancy improves across major cities

On Saturday, Welcome To The Jungle recorded an overall Hindi occupancy of 33 per cent.

Delhi-NCR registered the highest number of screenings with 860 shows, reporting an occupancy of 39.8 per cent.

Mumbai followed closely with 692 shows and an occupancy of 41 per cent, indicating strong audience interest in metropolitan centres.

The steady occupancy figures suggest positive word-of-mouth could help the film sustain its theatrical run over the coming days.
