AIMIT Magis club celebrates Diwali in Sneha Sadan

Mangaluru: Members of AIMIT Magis club of IT Department (MCA) visited the exquisite children of Sneha Sadan, Gurupura, Mangaluru, on the wonderful occasion of Diwali. They celebrated their joys to share love among the lovely hearts. “D’LIGHT”, a small program was conducted by the AIMIT Magis club of IT Department (MCA) and joining them were the other part of the family.

The members of the club were present by 9.20 am at Sneha Sadan. They met the Director, Fr.Teji, who talked about how their organization’s trust stood for 16 years long in the city. In addition there are now 2 (sub divisions) houses – Sneha Sadan and Sneha Ashrama. He also told that there are 40 children and 10 adults present and 10 staffs working.

The club members then met Gopika (Nursing staff) who acknowledged the students about the organization and its in-process. There are four Fathers (Fr.Teji Thomas, Fr.Russel Jacos, Fr.Jobi and Fr.Sibi) running and supporting for the welfare of the children. The children of Sneha Sadan are provided with all the facilities like, Exercise room, Isolation room, playground for girls as well as boys, Study room, Food court, counseling room and so on. She added further that, kids are being trained for the participation in the champion week that will be held at Bengaluru next month.

There was a formal function at 11 am. Chief Guests Merril Rego, President, Youth Congress Dakshina Vidhan Saba, Mangaluru; Girish Alva, President, Youth Congress Uttara Vidan Saba, Mangaluru; Fr.Teji, Fr.Balraju, Suman Lasrado and Magis faculty coordinator and Magis Student Co-ordinator Kevin Sequeira were present. The chief guests enlightened the gathering with a beautiful message about Diwali festival and praised Magis association and Sneha Sadan for organizing the program for kids on the special day.

There was lot of fun and activities conducted by Mano Tony and his group for which all the students won prizes for actively participating in the events. The AIMIT Magis club of IT Department (MCA) members interacted with students and enjoyed every moment with them by dancing, singing and laughing.

It was a memorable experience for the students who promised that they would be visiting Sneha Sadan again.
