Mangaluru: Bhavani Jogi, a Retd. Nursing Superintendent, presently working as a lady’s Swimming Instructor in Shakthi Group of Institutions has bagged 6 Gold Medals in Open Masters Athletics Championship held in Indore Madhya Pradesh from September 16 to 19.
Shot-put, Discuss throw, Long Jump & Triple Jump were the individual Gold achieved while the other two were in Women’s 4×100 mtrs relay and 4×100 mtrs mixed relay.
Bhavani Jogi is a Gold Medalist in Swimming and a National Power Lifter. She won International Gold Medals at Malaysia, Singapore, Bangkok, China, Thailand and twice in Sri Lanka in athletics. She is further selected for the zonal meet at Nasik and the International meet at Nepal.
The Secretary Sanjith Naik, Administrator Dr K.C.Naik, Chief Advisor Ramesh K, PrathviRaj, Principal of Shakthi PU College, Vidya Kamath G, Principal of Shakthi Residential School, all teaching and non-teaching staff and students congratulated her for her unbeaten victory and wish her good luck in all the future events.
