Mangaluru: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai inaugurated “Santrupti – Sarvaraksha” Annadasoha Building constructed at Excellent College, Moodabidri here on Wednesday April 27.

Addressing the gathering, CM Basavaraj Bommai said that there is a big opportunity for logical thinking at the Excellent Institution. “Once a student, you are students till you die. You have to learn continuously. If there are lessons in schools followed by exams, there will be no lessons, no schedules, and no syllabus in life. You have to be prepared to learn from the trials of life. Questions of why, what, where is developed in school, thereby bestowing the power to think logically. You have to ask questions and gain knowledge,” he said.

He exhorted the students to acquire knowledge and succeed in the age of knowledge.

I am amazed to see the Excellent Institution. Building a gurukul so beautifully is one of the biggest achievement. Jain culture is one of the greatest religious cultures. Renunciation and ahimsa are both true qualities that a man should have. But we try to survive by giving up all this. Jainism is the culture that draws us to this origin. It is sacrifice to give as charity what cannot be obtained, he said.

Yuvraj Jain, the founder of Excellent, Institution had knowledge. You can’t steal it from them. You will get that knowledge only when they give it to you. Yuvraj and his wife Rashmika Jain have given exemplary service by providing education. He said it was a pleasure that the institution is growing under the culture of Mahavira who sacrificed everything for human good.

The building was inaugurated as part of the tenth year celebration of founding Excellent Institutions. The institution is run under Innovative Learning Foundation (R.). Kannada and Culture Department, Energy Minister V. Sunil Kumar, Moodabidri MLA Umanath Kotian, Coastal Development Authority Mattaru Ratnakar Hegde, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Rajendra K. V. and Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Dr. Kumar and Excellent Institutions Staff were present.

Earlier, he was welcomed by the Energy Minister V. Sunil Kumar at helipad in Moodabidri on his arrival.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Wednesday April 27, inaugurated the newly constructed Adalita Soudha, Taluk Administrative Office at a cost of Rs. 10 Crore in front of Moodabidri Taluk Administration Building in Dakshina Kannada District.

The 10,000-square-foot administrative building was constructed in just 1 year, 3 months. The building has Jain style of architecture. Tahsildar’s office, MLA’s office, Registrar’s office, and Survey Department will all function from the building. The aim is to provide all the services under one roof.
