Mangaluru: The Father Muller College of Speech and Hearing, a Unit of Father Muller Charitable Institutions has been accorded with the 12(B) status by the University Grant Commission.
Started in the year 2007, the college is celebrating its Decennial Year having completed ten years in the field of imparting education. It runs a four- year bachelor degree in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology.
Receiving the UGC recognition happens to be a matter of great pride for the entire institution as it enables the college to receive grants for research and outreach programmes. The college is also a recipient of UGC 2(f) status.
The College has latest equipments for diagnosis and treatment for speech, language and hearing disorders. It is also extensively engaged into outreach programmes for screening and community-based rehabilitation. It has received RCI Recognition for the year 2017-2020 with enhancement of seats and is the only Speech & Hearing College under Mangalore University to receive permanent affiliation and 2nd in India to get NAAC Accreditation.
Students pursuing their educational at this College are well equipped with clinical skills which help them to be well-placed once they graduate out of college.

The college plans to start a Post-graduation in Audiology & Speech Language Pathology in the future and has all the requisite infrastructure and facilities for the purpose.
