FMHMC holds a jubilant and meaningful Christmas celebration

Mangaluru: Christmas is the celebration of love, generosity, benevolence, peace, kindness, brotherhood, and familial bonding. Christmas isn’t a season it’s a feeling. It is love come down to earth, a gift of infinite worth. The festive season waves a magic wand over the earth to cherish peace and goodwill, to be plenteous in mercy, is to have the real spirit of Christmas. 

Report on FMHMC Christmas programme 2022Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College organised a jubilant and meaningful Christmas, New Year and Hostel Day celebration on Dec 20, 2022, in the college premises at 6 pm. The programme commenced by invoking the blessings of the almighty with a melodious prayer song by Rose and team.

Report on FMHMC Christmas programme 2022Rev Fr Roshan Crasta, Administrator  FMHMC &H, extended a cordial welcome to the gathering. To commemorate the joy of Christmas cake cutting ceremony was held. Director Rev Fr Richard Aloysius Coelho along with Administrator Rev Fr Roshan Crasta, Principal Dr ESJ Prabhu Kiran, Rev Fr John Vas, Chaplain FMHMC&H, Management committee members, Cultural co-ordinators, Student council representatives and Nancy Mascarenhas representative from non-teaching staff joined the celebration.

Report on FMHMC Christmas programme 2022As a token of appreciation and gratitude for the services rendered, Sr Eunice Sylvia Trecilla D’Souza Warden of ladies’ hostel was felicitated by the Director.

Fr Richard Aloysius Coelho, Director, FMCI presided over the occasion, in his message conveyed “In today’s world all around us we see unrest, hatred and lack of peace. God sent his only son Jesus Christ into this world, who taught us to love one another, live in unity and brotherhood restoring the image and likeness of god himself. We need to imbibe core values so that we can live in peace and harmony with our brethren. Hoping in God we can begin the new year with new hope and aspiration in this uncertain world”. 

To enliven the occasion and make it more meaningful Christmas carol singing competition was held for the UG’s, Interns and PGs. Julian Alwyn D’Cunha and Jessica Crasta judged the competition. The Judges were felicitated with a momento as a token of gratitude by the Director.

 A lucky draw contest was conducted by Dr Vivek Shakthidharan. Students receiving the Studentship Award of STSH 2021 from CCRH-  Angelin joy, Deeksha Sasaravalli, Malavika KE, Prasheeda T, Shelcy Sebastian and Vismaya Abhirami were felicitated by the Director.

To shimmer sparkle and delight to the occasion, Christmas thematic dance drama was performed by Dr Merlin Liza James and team. Soulful melodious carols were sung by the teaching and non-teaching staff of FMHMC&H, foot tapping dance was performed by the Staff of the Father Muller Homoeopathic Pharmaceutical Division. MIME was performed by III BHMS students focussing on social values. A soulful melody was rendered by Mark W Nongsiej narrating the story of Christmas.Report on FMHMC Christmas programme 2022

 The arrival of Santa Claus with his troupe by Maria Sunny and team created a   mesmerising and exultant ambience enhancing the joy of Christmas. Carol singing prizes were announced by Dr Jolly D’Mello Cultural coordinator the winning teams were awarded cash prizes and gift hampers. A vote of thanks was proposed by Joe Paul cultural secretary.

Celebrations concluded with the Institution’s Anthem.
