Helping hands from Yenepoya Group to the Kodagu flood affected

Mangaluru: The Yenepoya School and PU College, organised relief mission in support of the badly affected flood victims of Kodagu.

The Yenepoya Group led by Principal Joseph Mechirath, Jince Joseph, Vidyacharan Lovely, Rajesh and Vinod visited the badly battered regions of Kodagu as the region suffered the worst deluge of the century. Located on the Western Ghats, its 4000 people got displaced with many people dead in various landslides and heavy floods, inflicting heavy damage on the eco system. Roads, villages, houses, plantations, crops got washed away.

The team visited the badly battered regions of Kodagu in spite of the adverse weather conditions on the 22 August 2018 and handed over the relief materials collected from well-wishers, students, parents and staff of Yenepoya School and PU College to the affected people, spent some time in the relief camp and consoled the victims.
