Manipal: Manipal Genetics Update III-an international conference to focus on genetic disorders of bone, will be held on December 1 and 2 at Kasturba Medical College and Hospital, Manipal University here. International and national experts from the area of rare and heritable disorders of the skeleton will take part in the conference.The participants will showcase their latest findings, discoveries and exchange information on unsolved cases, cutting-edge tools and techniques being incorporated into this niche area of research through case presentations and discussions. The workshop is an excellent opportunity for all participants to foster meaningful research collaborations at both the national and global levels.
Manipal Genetics Update III is being organised by the Department of Medical Genetics at Kasturba Medical College and Hospital, Manipal under the leadership of Dr Girish K M, Professor and Head Department of Medical Genetics. The department offers consultation services to patients and families with diverse genetic conditions and birth defects and prenatal diagnosis. It also offers the much needed diagnostic services on its own and in collaboration with other laboratories in India and abroad and strives to translate a recent research in the field of genetics to patient care.
