Mangaluru: Mount Carmel Central School held a graduation ceremony for the students of UKG on Thursday, March 28 at the school premises.
Dr. Vivian Roshan D’Almeida was the chief guest of the occasion.
The principal of the school, Sr. Melissa conferred the title on the little graduates, after which the 145 graduates sang a graduation song.
In his address to the gathering, Dr. Vivian congratulated the students, acknowledged the vision of the management, applauded the toil of the staff and urged the young parents to instil discipline and respect in the children, and more importantly, to teach them to live in harmony.
The most awaited moment was when the children received their very first diploma from the chief guest along with their parents.
The students of LKG and nursery added colour to the programme through their colourful and vibrant dances. The graduation day ended with photos and snacks.
Joyce, a teacher at the school, gave the welcome address. Sandra, a teacher at the school, delivered the vote of thanks. The programme was compeered crisply and meticulously by another teacher, Richa.
The chief guest’s wife, Dr. Joylene D’Almeida and the members of the management were also present.
