The inauguration of the online Certificate Course “E-Konkani Bhaas & Culture” was held on 13th November 2020 through zoom platform. Dr Alwyn D’Sa, Controller of Examinations, SAC officially inaugurated the Course. This course is organised under the STRIDE (Scheme for Transdisciplinary Research for India’s Developing Economy) Scheme of UGC.
Rev Dr Praveen Martis, SJ presided over the programme and delivered presidential remarks. All the resource persons and participants introduced themselves to the program.
35 participants globally involved in this course, especially, from Ireland, UAE, Kuwait, Kerala, Mumbai, Goa, Bangalore, Mysuru, Udupi, Kundalpur, Brahmavar, etc.
Mrs Flora Castelino, Co-ordinator of the Course welcomed the gathering and proposed the vote of thanks with MC Narration.
About the Course
This Certificate Course is exclusively designed for ONLINE classes for a duration of 50 hours. Online classes will be conducted every Friday from 6 pm to 8 pm. This course will be conducted using 3 scripts i.e., Kanadi, Nagari and Romi and option is given to the students to choose any one of the scripts for answering the online test at the end of the course.
Eminent resource persons from Goa, Mangaluru, Bengaluru & UAE will be facilitating the classes on the Web. The course content has been designed for beginners as well as passionate promoters of Konkani Language and Culture.
