Mangaluru: The Postgraduate Department of Commerce, St Aloysius College (Autonomous), organized ‘Catch up with Kunafa’, an interactive session with Zamzeer Ahamed and Jameela Ruhi, founders of “Kunafa World” on March 11, 2023, in L F Rasquinha Hall of LCRI Block.
Dr Alwyn D’Sa, Registrar and Controller of Examinations of the College, Dr Loveena Lobo, Director of Maffie Block, Jennifer Maria Quadros, Head of the Department of PG Commerce, Nivedita and Renita Maria Fernandes, the staff convenors and student coordinator Daphney Sequeira were on the dais.
The inauguration of the programme was done symbolically by planting and watering the sapling by the dignitaries.
Addressing the gathering, Jameela Ruhi shared her experience as an entrepreneur. She briefed on the word entrepreneur and motivated young minds to dream big and stay focused. She said that, in entrepreneurship, you should have a strong mindset and believe in yourself to conceive your ideas.
Dr Alwyn D’Sa in his presidential remarks congratulated the couple for their efforts in expanding their unique entrepreneurial skills in India and abroad. He said that both the young budding entrepreneurs will definitely inspire the young generations with this interactive session.
The interactive session was moderated by Kishore B N, alumnus, Fr Vishwas Joy Misquith and Aaron Freider. During the session, Zamzeer Ahamed said, “The motivation is to find your interest in achieving something and have an interest towards your idea. You will get self-motivated in what you like the most. Develop interest in things which will be fruitful to your life rather than wasting time.”
Zamzeer Ahamed, an alumnus of St Aloysius College and Jameela Ruhi had featured on Shark Tank India – season 1 which was telecasted on Sony TV.
Sr Jovita Tellis compered the event. Jennifer Maria Quadros welcomed the gathering. Niveditha proposed the vote of thanks.
