Mangaluru: Board of Apprenticeship Training (BOAT)(SR), Chennai & Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Bengaluru in collaboration with Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management organized an Apprenticeship Fair on Friday, July 26 for engineering graduates/diploma/general graduates at the campus, which observed participation of over 400 students.
V.S. Pandey Asst. Director In-charge – BOAT, Dileep from Directorate of Technical Education, Bengaluru, S Rajendra, GM-HR KIOCL Limited were the guests for the inaugural ceremony along with Manjunath Bhandary, Chairman. Dr. R Srinivasa Rao Kunte, Principal extending a warm welcome to the gathering.
Manjunath Bhandary, while addressing the gathering, appreciated BOAT, Chennai and DTE, Bengaluru, for providing opportunities to the young graduates. He urged the students to grab this opportunity and enhance their skills and practical approach in building a solid foundation to their career. He emphasized that the training will provide the students with a platform to measure their passion and capability in their field of choice.
V.N Pandey gave a brief insight about BOAT. He said that the training should be considered as the learning period and not earning period. He brought out the benefits of apprenticeship training which includes skill development, bridging gap between theory and practice, platform to enter corporate houses. He appreciated the enthusiasm and commitment from the Sahyadri management and also placement officer in hosting the event and also thanked the management.
Rajendra, GM – HR, spoke about the various opportunities provided at their organization and their growth. Prof. Rashmi Bhandary, Dean Placement, delivered the vote of thanks.
