Mangaluru: Ms Shivani Maria Monthiero has attained the third rank in India in the Financial Management Paper of the ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, UK) examination for the December 2022 session. She is a student III B. Com (ACCA) at St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru and the daughter of Ms Valentina Monteiro.
Ms Monteiro expressed her gratitude for the support she received throughout her journey, “Achieving a rank was not something I anticipated, but I am truly honoured and blessed. First and foremost, I would like to thank my mother for her continuous encouragement and support. I would also like to thank the Principal and Management, my lecturers, and classmates, for guiding, motivating, and inspiring me.”
St Agnes College is the first college in Mangaluru to begin B.Com. with ACCA integrated batch in the year 2016 and is successfully running it in the Seventh year. The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) institute, is the global professional accounting body offering the ‘Chartered Certified Accountant’ qualification which gives plenty of opportunities not only abroad but even in India as there are big 10 audit firms offering jobs for ACCA affiliates. ACCA is a fast-growing international accountancy organization with 241,000 members and 542,000 students in 180 countries.
