Mangaluru: In recognition of his exceptional performance, Ansar, a student of P.A. College of Engineering (PACE), claimed the title of Highest Goal Scorer during the VTU State Level Intercollegiate Football Tournament’s closing ceremony on August 27, 2023, held at PACE Campus Mangalore.
The event was graced by Dr Ramis M.K., Principal of PACE, who served as the Chief Guest. The ceremony was attended by notable figures including Yaseen, (Former State Level Player of Al Ameen College Bangalore), Prof. Zaheer, (Department of Civil Engineering, BIT, Mangalore), Dr Kiran Kumar (Physical Education Director of MSRIT, Bangalore), Dr Iqbal (Physical Education Director of PACE, Mangalore), Sunder (Department of Physical Education, PACE, Mangalore), and Ibrahim (Football Coach, PACE Mangalore), all of whom took part in the prize distribution.
NMIT Bangalore emerged as the tournament’s victor, with NMAMIT securing the runner-up position, MSRIT attaining third place, and PACE finishing fourth.
Other outstanding individuals recognized at the tournament included Ahmed Vani of NMIT Bangalore, who received the Best Player award, and Biswas of NMIT, honoured as the Best Goalkeeper.
