Yenepoya MCH holds 3 day CCLS and STLS Training Program

Mangaluru: The Department of Health and Family Welfare conducted the training for all the stakeholders for the successful implementation of ‘Dr Puneeth Rajkumar Hrudaya Jyothi Yojane’ at Simulation Lab of the hospital.

Yenepoya Medical College Hospital is selected as a recognized hub for the ‘Dr. Puneeth Rajkumar Hrudaya Jyothi Yojane’ in the Dakshina Kannada and Udupi district. As a preliminary course of the successful implementation of this scheme for cardiac health the three day `CCLS & STLS Training Program’ was conducted for medical officers, nurses, and ambulance staff on 26th, 27th, and 28th March 2024 at the Simulation Lab, Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) Campus, Derelakatte.

Dr. Uma, Deputy Director, NCD Wing, Arogya Soudha, Government of Karnataka graced the workshop with her presence overseeing the training program. The training program had a participation of around 70 First responders in the two districts across the three days. The Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Karnataka organized the CCLS and STLS training program  by JeevaRaksha trust for the medical officers, nurses and ambulance staff of Spoke Hospitals for efficient management of STEMI Cases.

‘Dr Puneeth Rajkumar Hrudaya Jyothi Yojane’ is a Government of Karnataka initiative aimed at promoting cardiac health by diagnosing and managing conditions like STEMI and NSTEMI. The 3-day long workshop organized at the Yenepoya Medical College Hospital aimed at training a higher number of first responders, integrating the value chain through a mobile App and equipping emergency care staff with required clinical skills and evidence based protocols.
