Mangaluru: As a part of the Celebration of the centenary year of Indian Red Cross, Youth Red Cross Unit, Yenepoya Nursing College, Yenepoya Deemed to be University with Indian Red Cross Society DK District branch, Youth Red Cross Unit Mangaluru University on 04.03.2022 organised a State Level Workshop for Youth Red Cross Program Officers.
The theme of the workshop was YRC: A catalyst for change in cancer prevention. CA Shantharama Shetty, Chairman, Indian Red Cross society D.K inaugurating the program emphasised on a healthy lifestyle. Dr B H Sripathi Rao, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Yenepoya Deemed to Be University, in his presidential address said that detecting cancer in the early stages helps to provide effective treatment.
Nithyananda Shetty, Vice Chairman, Indian Red Cross society D.K, Prashanth Nayak, Special Officer Mangaluru University, Ganapathi Gowda Nodal Officer, YRC, Mangaluru University were present. Dr Leena K C, Dean, Yenepoya Nursing College welcomed the gathering and Nithyashree B V, Nodal Officer, YRC, Yenepoya Deemed to be University proposed vote of thanks.
Indumathi and Pavitra compered the program. YRC Nodal officers and YRC program officers of Mangalore University, Nitte Deemed to be University and Yenepoya Deemed to be university benefited from the program.
